Jesus gives us permission to say no.
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ (Matthew 5:37 NKJV)
Even for churches this can be true. For example, Harbour Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL decided that for the summer, they needed to take a break from their small groups, live feed, and other regularly scheduled activities and events. And it's ok. People and churches need a chance to breathe and gather breath. Don't let summer get away from you without creating space to breathe. Some of us will have to let our "No" be heard in order to find that space. So go ahead, you've got permission to say No.
